Hans J. Wegner CH23 Chair

Our Hans J. Wegner CH23 Chair is the picture of understated class, mixing minimalist use of material with flourishes of style and panache to create as beautiful a dining chair as you could ever hope to find. The ergonomically-engineered backrest and soft woven seat offer an exceptionally comfortable sitting experience, while the detailing on the side panels and in the tapered legs make the CH23 Chair a stylish addition to any dining room.

The story behind the Hans J. Wegner CH23 Chair

The Hans J. Wegner CH23 Chair was first released to the public in 1951, when Hans J. Wegner was at the height of his powers, having already produced some of the most iconic pieces of furniture of the 20th Century. But while the Y-Chair and the Elbow Chair were experiments of form, the CH23 was more of a celebration of material, with the woven seat, and the added detailing on the side panels becoming the trademarks of this gorgeous design. To this day, the CH23 Chair is a simple, yet eye-catching way, to brighten-up any kitchen or dining space.
